Speaking & events

I welcome speaking requests.

I participate in a wide range of events each year for businesses, international organizations and non-profits, from Advertising Week to NATO. I’ve delivered TEDx talks, participated in Intelligence Squared and Doha Debates, and presented to leaders and entrepreneurs from many different industries that have an interest in grappling with the big questions of technology, the future and society.

Below are some of the topics I have recently explored in events for businesses, international organizations and non-profits.

Tech trends and what comes next

The next decade will be the most disruptive in human history, with breakthroughs in technologies from AI to robotics, VR, transport and energy. How will the world change, and the way all of us live and work? I look at the biggest trends, challenges and opportunities.

Leadership

Leaders aren’t born, they’re made. What does it mean to be a leader in an era of perpetual disruption? I look at the qualities that make good leaders, based on my years working with diverse leaders around the world - and that all of us can use to lead.

Communicating like a human

How we engage with people - our clients, customers and communities - makes all the difference. How can you build authentic relationships, inspire and connect with the people who matter to you? I present my top lessons from a career spent telling stories.

Building a culture of innovation

Every organization dreams of being more innovative. Silicon Valley leaders have spent decades exploring how to unleash the full potential of their employees, and to hire, develop and retain talent. I present surprising insights that can be applied by any organization.

The future of work

Technology was already reinventing every business. In a post-pandemic world, there’s no turning back. I focus on how we embrace the opportunities presented by AI, remote working and a data-driven future, while holding on to what’s important from our history.

Tech & society

From personal relationships to geopolitics, technology has dramatically transformed our society in the blink of an eye. I take a balanced and nuanced look at the positive and negative implications for leaders and organizations.

“For the first time in history, instead of listening to leaders speak on behalf of the world, the world shall speak for itself. Every business and organization has a chance to harness the power of a planetary community to move the entire world forward.”
